A life of service
Hudson was sworn into police duty on October 16, 2020, and quickly established himself as an invaluable asset to his department. During his career, Hudson contributed to over 100 tracks of criminal offenders and missing persons, showcasing his unmatched tracking ability. He played a critical role in apprehending numerous violent offenders while protecting not only his handler but also other deputies and members of the public.
As part of his many responsibilities, Hudson helped locate countless articles of evidentiary value, aiding in ongoing investigations and ensuring justice was served.
A Hero Among Heroes
Hudson served alongside the Kane County Sheriff's Office and several federal law enforcement agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Together, they achieved remarkable success in detecting and seizing over 100 kilograms of illicit narcotics. Hudson also assisted in the confiscation of over $5,000,000 in U.S. currency, which was determined to be proceeds from illegal activities.
Perhaps most notably, Hudson’s mere presence often prevented violent encounters between criminals and law enforcement, ensuring the safety of his team. He was a true hero—serving with honor, pride, and unwavering bravery, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
